I'm back with a new ocarina!

So it's been forever!!!
I've moved and I'm working like a dog these days.
I don't have the net and I'd barely have time for it even if I did!
Therefor, I've really REALLY slowed down with my ocarina stuff.
I still pick them up and play them often & I'm almost never without one in my pocket or my backpack & a few times this year I've gone to a party and jammed with some friends.

Last night I decided it's been too long so I made an effort and broke out some clay and went at it. I made this occy in about 2 hours. Still no tuning because I want to see if it survives.
While it was halved and I was hollowing it out and making the sound hole, I took a bit longer than I should have & I'm concerned the seal might not keep.
So after it's slow dried, if it makes it, I'll tune it up.

It's deeper than most of my other ones & I really like that. When I jam with friends, most love them but I always have one of my smaller, higher pitched ocs because they're so portable and a couple friends find them annoying.
This should help with that!

Anyways, like I said, I'm STILL trying to get my kiln hooked up...hopefully soon so I can make a few ocs soon for a trade :)
And well...just so I can make them in general =P

I've got a couple other videos to finish up and make, I'd like to show you where I am now and a little neat thing I picked up in B.C. during my last trip.

Anyways everyone! It's good to be back on here again but I'm not really back back yet, cuz I still don't have net, I'll hopefully be back a little more regularily. I was just lucky to have a good friend let me use their net to pop this up!

@ubizmo Hey ubi! Thanks, it has been a long time hey? I haven't been able to see your stuff lately with the lack of net but I def. have to see what you've been up to when I get a chance on a solid line. I too think it'll have a really sweet mellow sound once it's done if it survives!

@elementskatebarding Hey thanks man! Too bad to hear you didn't keep up with it! I find when I can find the time, it's a lot of fun being able to make something from a hunk of mud and know you can make something beautiful with just a few basic tools and your own 2 hands.

Maybe you'll pick up some clay again some day, when you do, let me know!

@MrRockTheCritic You know it man, I've always loved that tune, so peaceful and relaxing :D I agree the sound is really nice, I haven't checked to see what key it's in but it's definitely one of the deepest ones I've made so far. If it makes it, I'm sure it'll be a real nice mellow sound. I gotta say man, I always look forwards to your comments XD I still say I gotta make you one, one of these days!

@isthisthingontest123 Hey thanks! it's been a couple days and I haven't been home to check on it. I hope it's drying well! I'll know tomorrow if it's going good, I'm sure after a couple days it should show some tell tale signs. All I can do for now is hope :)
