I never tire of this movie.... The music, the timing, everything is just lyrical. I used to love the Shawshank redemption, until I saw hudsucker.

I went into this film as a dedicated fan, but at a certain point, I was furious at it. I needed get through the "deus Ex Machina" moment before I understood where it was going. From this film I learned that sometimes the narrative needs to challenge you, even anger you, in order to get to its true meaning. Now I know it's okat for a film to lose me, if it it lets me catch up before the end.

The Coen Brothers, alas, are only now beginning to enjoy the artistic status they deserve. They are the greatest geniuses of modern film, equivalent to Proust or Dostoevsky, or even (dare I say it) Shakespeare, in their exploration of artistic narrative.

Ditto. I know it's not the best-known or best-liked of the Coen brothers' films, but it's definitely one of my personal favorites!
