Qingdao - I'm Dreaming of Home

This video is dedicated to my beautiful hometown - Qingdao, which is the best city EVER!!!

Qingdao lying across the Shandong Peninsula while looking out to the Yellow Sea, Qingdao today is a major seaport, naval base, and industrial center. It is also the site of the Tsingtao Brewery (Tsingtao Beer). The character 青 (qīng) in Chinese means "green" or "lush," while the character 岛 (dǎo) means "island." It was recently named China's 9th-most livable city by China Daily (it was 3rd-most livable city five years ago...)

Brief History:
In 1891, the Qing(1644-1911) Government decided to make the area a primary defence base against naval attacks, and planned the construction of a city. Little was done, however, until 1897 when the city was ceded to Germany. The Germans soon turned Tsingtao into a strategically important port that was administered by the Department of the Navy rather than the Colonial Office. The German Imperial government planned and built the first streets and institutions of the city we see today, including the world-famous Tsingtao Brewery. German influence extended to other areas of Shandong Province, including the establishment of diverse commercial enterprises.

Man, I lived in Jimo for 3 months when I first moved to China, ended up in Yantai. I always loved coming to Qingdao for a visit... and I MISS QINGDAO BEER!!! hahaha!

@triggersots4686 Though i was born overseas. In many ways i regard China as my Fatherland. After i save up some money i might go over to China to do business. How about yourself ? Do u intend to live on in Canada or go back to China ? And yes Tibet is and always will be part of China!! haha

ummm im not really sure, its a tourist city, so i guess its not too expensive compare to other major cities and not too cheap either, cuz i havent been there for almost 10 years...but thanks for taking an interest man, and you should take a trip there, its really beautiful :D

thx, but not really, its only crowded in the summer when tourists came, but not so compare to other big cities.
