Kleine Ballerina - accordion duet (and me being bald because of chemo treatment!)

Hello everybody! This is my friend Joke and me playing a duet. I am teaching her how to play the accordion and I am very proud of the progress we have made so far...this lady is a fast learner AND a wonderful friend!

Concerning my health I have good news; the cancer has gone and the heavy treatment is to make sure it is not coming back! After the chemo treatments there will be radiation therapy as well.

In the meantime I try to keep playing, whatever instruments feels good to me. At the moment I am working on some songs for the bass so when I feel good you will see it coming...one of these days! ;-)

@SherBB Thank you Sher! I try to have fun along the way with music. I was also impressed by your paintings in Leo's videos. I have a few ideas of my own so I think I will give it a try too. Friday I am going to the hospital for chemo number 3. Then I am halfway through this process of getting sick, getting better, getting sick and so on.

And I don't feel like a hero... more like a victim LOL!

@mattis09 Thank you Mattis! Yes, this duet is very nice and easy to play for beginners. It is very hard to find a simple duet that sounds good, but I have been playing this one with different people and they all love it!

@Passievoormuziek Hoi Gertjan, bedankt voor je leuke commentaar. Ja, wij hebben er samen wel plezier in en ik heb ook veel steun aan haar! Ik heb ook gemerkt dat je je beter voelt als je muziek maakt...maakt niet uit wat voor instrument. Gelukkig kan ik nog kiezen :-) Dus ik hoop toch nog een aantal filmpjes te gaan maken tussen de wat "slechtere" dagen door.

Joke is inderdaad een goede student en fijn dat ze ook een goede vriendin is.

Belangrijk om fijne mensen te kennen die er in deze tijden voor je en/of bij je kunnen zijn. Ik vind 't zo knap dat je lekker muziek blijft maken. Laat maar komen die filmpjes.

@musicmaniac1965 Hoi Ronald, bedankt voor je leuke commentaar! Tja, muziek maken met meerdere mensen is altijd leuk. Eigenlijk vrolijk ik altijd wel op als ik muziek maak. De fabriek is nu net een beetje te ver weg om naar toe te gaan. Ik heb niet zo heel veel fut en ook reizen met de bus is niet zo goed in verband met het oplopen van infecties en dergelijke. Dus geen saxofoon. Ik ben momenteel een soort kasplantje! Maar de basgitaar bespelen gaat weer heel goed!

Geweldig hoe muziek maken (met zijn 2en) even je zorgen kunnen laten vergeten. Ik ben wel blij voor je dat de ziekte onder controlle is! Blijf vechten! Nog even, en dan kan ook Joke in de fabriek spelen, dat zal een geweldige akoestiek geven aan jullie muziek!
