After Macher Johl's immediate success. I've decided to feed off of this cash cow with a review. I'm just kidding of course.

I remember when the film was nothing more than an idea of my good friend Usama Siddiquee. He wanted to create a short film for his niece's first birthday party. No one at that point knew that this film would be a YouTube phenomenon.

I was there when both fight scenes were film. One at the Black Arts Center and the other at the Irving Arts Center. You may recognize me as the useless henchmen with the bright green shirt.

After lots of sweat and blood were shed, the film was complete. The original name was Bangla World, but Usama decided the name was too clichéd I guess. So he slapped on a stupid picture of some (food?), and name it Macher Jhol. He then gave me a DVD of his masterpiece

Fun fact: The Dark Knight's mini-poster is written in Korean. It came with a pirated DVD of the film with Korean subtitles. My dad bought it for $3.
