I make guitarists in my recording studio change guitar strings every six hours. That's approximately how much time it takes for new strings to lose their sheen.

The old strings with distortion wasn't hugely different, compared to the new. Although that's my thought through computer speakers.

I find that than older strings are than highest strings are wobling notes and not holding on tuning too.

Interesting!! How old was your old strings?

@lagiator the strings were a few months before I changed them, but I also changed brand from Elixir to D'Addarrio, but same gauge. I also changed the battery just in case, even tho I had not used the 3000 hours that EMG's promise for their pickups with the same battery. I just checked with a multimeter and old the battery was still outputting the same 9 volts (well, 9.03, but anyway).

Awesome video.I have always wanted to hear sound comparisons.I didn't really notice a difference that much on the distorted guitars though.

@brenderwatts It's easier to hear it in single notes on distorted guitars, which I naturally didn't play in the clip and since I snapped the old strings, I couldn't re-do it.
