Hi, my question is: do you have to remove the tank from the mashine in order to fill it? I am concerned that my cupboard would always be in my way and make it difficult to fill in water. Is that a potential problem?
The water that flows and stops in the beginning is to moisten and precondition the coffee grounds before brewing so as to increase the flavor extracted in crema coffee. This is how superautomatic espresso machines work.
I bought the ENA 4 ristretto black with the professional frother attachment and it's just wonderful! I love it and it really impresses women I show it to. Just this evening my girlfriend brought over her friend and she was blown away at how easy it was to make a latte for her, a mocha for my girlfriend and a cappuccino for myself. It's pricey, but considering how much I've saved on local coffee shops, it's practically paid for itself and I've owned it since late August 2008. Great buy!
