I hate protesters. I don't care if you are liberal or conservative (though they are almost always liberal), protesting is a waste of your time. The main problem is that it is all show and no substance. Instead of explaining in a calm, cool manner their reason for disagreeing with someone, they form threatening crowds, block streets, scream insults, and then fall to the ground and refuse to move if someone tries to stop them. It is childish. Grow up people. Toddlers act like this.

Ha! First, when does it take courage to engage in mob mentality. There are other "brave" (by your definition) souls which band together to change the community called gangs, but I do not think they are a particularly brave group. Slowing down or disrupting a motorcade to allow an attack on the person under protection is a well-known assassination tactic. Not that dreadlocked unwaashed screaming idiots would ever know anything about how the real world works, but when a motorcade comes to a stop like this, a lot of secret service types get jumpy. Not a good idea to get armed people agitated

It's called a choke point, you get the whole motorcade to come to a stop so some stupid protester can try something really dumb, like a bomb. Watch "Clear and Present Danger"

As for the Secret Service motorcades, they drive through people.
