wow you are a VERY opinionated person. It does not look hideous, and it's within regs. (It's too short to pull up anyway) Maybe you should brush up on AFI 36-2903.

I would do air bolus second when checking for placement just because the tube might be in the lungs and you wouldn't want to inject air in their. aspirate for gastric juices, put residual back in and then do air bolus and auscultate. =). fun video. great job.

Tho it is most likely blocking her view, her hair cannot make the procedure unsterile, because:

NGT placing IS NOT a sterile procedure. Secondly, NGT passes through nose and throat....... which of course contains a LOT of bacterial contents before being reduced significantly by the gastric acid.

but of course a critic,........ get ALL your stuff ready before proceeding.
