@CearaQC Nice! It's weird how the gardening community is...warm hearted! I've posted vis for 5 months of food and such, but never got a response quite as big as I did since I've been posting garden vlogs ;)

Great vid! I love Tronchuda. And Yes, you can get seeds from The Redwood City Seed Company in Redwood City, California. And by the way, I like the smell of cooking cabbage. It tells me dinner is almost ready.

Hey it's that well dressed gardener again! Cabbage was a big part of the Acadian food culture! Personally I prefer Brussels sprouts.

Yep that's Harry Dodson, from the BBC production of "Victorian Kitchen Garden" that aired on BBC tv back in the early 90s. He always wore a tie. hehe I'm growing a Tronchuda for the first time this year.

@CearaQC great never heard of it. you were able to find the seeds?

Yes from William Dam seed company in Canada. Some people on the garden forum you joined are growing out some tronchuda in test beds and have access to better seeds, straight from Portugal.

hehe I posted this for my friends at a gardening forum. Personally I LOVE all cabbage family plants to eat, smell or no smell. Nothing beats homemade cole slaw with veggies you grow yourself. Heck I've even sauteed fresh cabbage just with some onions and salt/pepper and ate it as a side dish for supper a few times. That old timer Harry Dodson in the video passed away a few years back. He will be missed!
