WeAreCHANGE Winnipeg films WPS cops roughing up some drunk girls. One constable didn't appreciate our filming and aggressively approached us to demand identification, but we stood our ground.

@beefyoso Seriously... he's worried about being recognized from a YouTube video but NOT worried about being recognized from walking on the street in uniform, what is that? A police officer doing his job properly has nothing to fear from being videotaped. If I am okay with being under surveillance when I, a private citizen, go into a public building, then why should a public employee not be okay with the people who pay their salaries checking up on them occasionally.

@MrMarkisaac Police can ask you anything, that part of your statement is true. However, that's where the truth in your comment ends. The cops can ask you anything, but you are NOT obligated to answer their questions. You only have to give your name, D.O.b, and address - and that's only when cops have reason to believe you've done something illegal. Anyone can tape anyone else on public property. This is legal. I just finished a course on ethics and privacy, so I know this.
