This Working Cow Horse Saddle is built on a Cutting Tree, has the deep seat, high front and the tall horn that many desire. Although not designed for roping, it will do everything you need it to do in the sanctioned events. The rawhide tree is warranted for five years.

The seat is 16.5 inches. It is built of Hermann Oak Leather, shown in a light oil, but could be darkened before leaving our shop if you prefer a darker color.

It has a 3/4's percent tooling coverage in a Oak leaf design with Basket Weave background. The conchos are Morgan Silver Dollar Conchos.

Although shown without front latigo tie straps, this saddle comes with them intact along with a flank cinch. All our saddles come ready to ride except for the front girth.

  • Beautiful work. Thanks for posting. Craftsmen are a dying breed, but it's good to see that some people are still craftsmen.

  • @MiKaKo22 No problem.

  • @madmiles Only an old one that had arthritus, Ok and thanx for replying!

  • @MiKaKo22 Depends on the type of horse. They are extremely strong so its not really a problem for them at all. Have you ever felt a horse's body? The muscle structure on them is incredible.

  • @SuperSavatage im not a horse rider, so i was wondering these saddles look heavy, how does a horse cope with so mutch weight on their back everyday? How do you know how mutch weight a horse can carry comfortabley??

  • We bought our saddle from Jerry Shaw as well. I have owned 5 saddles and none can compare to the ride and quality of the saddle made by Mr. Shaw. I actually bought a horse from Jess William; the 2nd time I rode I used my saddle and found I could not ride the horse as well. Jess put his saddle on again and that was all it took to convince me to purchase a Shaw saddle.

  • We ride in saddles much like this one made by Mr. Shaw 3 or 4 years ago. I use mine every day as I am a horse trainer and I LOVE it! My Mom won't ride in anything else. We are very picky, when we ordered our saddles we were a real pain, we bothered Mr Shaw about everything but he never got mad at us. When we pulled our saddles out of the boxes they were everything we hoped for and more. JShaw saddles are quality saddles that are built to last, they are comfortable and down right good looking.
