Northstar rail trip to Elk River

My first time riding the Northstar Commuter rail. I went on the light rail from Bloomington to Target Field and got on a Northstar train from Target Field to Elk River. It was a very comfortable ride and I hope the line will be extended to St. Cloud very soon. I also hope shops and restaurants will be built around the Northstar stations. The Elk River station only has a large parking lot, apartments, car dealerships, and a Super America gas station so it was pretty boring walking around waiting for the train back to Minneapolis. On the way back to Target Field there were a lot of people going to the Twins game.

i rode that today on my way to the twins game. ive never seen it with just one engine. this in big lake? normally there are two locomotives

This was at the Elk River station. The Twins trains usually have 10 cars and they're full so thats probably why they have two engines. I think the regular trains just have one engine.

I hope that they will eventually get the Twin Cities/ Duluth train route build. It would be nice for planning a weekend outing like a twins game.

everytime we go to the mall of america there are two locomotives and four cars. and when we went to the twins game there were two locomotives but only 5 cars
