verizon requires a dataplan with this phone, if all you want to do is text then don't get a blackberry.

i have the at&t silver one not titanium.. and just made it look like a verizon blackberry i opened the hole fone and put a black keyboard and i also put the front plate on ..its excactly the same

yes it is. if you buy a pda/smart phone/blackberry you have to have a data plan. the cheapest for verizon is $29.99 for unlimited email and internet use.
