Doom (As it SHOULD have been)

I was disappointed with the movie adaptation of one of my favorite games. This, I think, is how it should have been: rawer, realer, darker, and with much more action, mystery, and monsters.
And they should have been DEMONS darn it...

So Blood, were you trying to basically follow the idea of Doom 3 being condensed and turned into a film here, or just kind of a general proof of concept of what it should look and feel like?

Here I was just trying to take a little revenge of sorts on a movie I hated :/ I was trying to show how given all the cgi technology and previous films it would have been easy to make a proper Doom movie.

Pandorum looked a tad Doomish as well. I haven't seen that one.

To be honest the closest movie to Doom in my opinion is the original Aliens.

Not trying to bust your balls, but I noticed that at one point in the video, it says, "This October," but at the end of the video, it says, "Christmas 2008." Noticed that just now.

Other than that, this was beautiful. Good work.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw King Ghidorah, an Alien, and Domino the bounty hunter in there...XD That alone is enough to rank this up. You damn near seemlessly mixed together more than several things that had fairly little in common. Great talent, I've been going through your trailers all night and I'm damn impressed.

The thing with the Doom movie is simple, today there's a bunch of people banning all demonic stuff, the only movies with Devil themes are those like The Exorcism of Emily Rose, a CSI drama with a lesson: "Believe in faith, and nothing else", so Doom, a game hell-related without a message of "go to the church" is considered wrong, so what's better to replace hell than a lot of DNA mutation bullshit? besides, the FPS camera isnt developed yet, it's like making the whole movie in one day.

I honestly would love it if they did a doom movie in the style of the film "REC 2." Set it on mars, have demons from hell, and make the entire movie filmed from the perspective of helmet cameras (to emulate the first person shooter effect). Just make it gory, psychological, and have a good supply of action, and you have a doom movie fit for a king
