And thats exactly why I like her. She writes songs that she believes in-- not songs that she believes will be a hit.
The large record companies (i.e Big Four) piss me off. I view them as tyrants who wrings a musician out all creativity in their quest to make money by selling unfeeling, fabricated music to the masses.

she dont care about them being a hit, she just wants to express herself and have people relate to her. You will notice her music start to change when she "tries to make hits".
You cant deny talent!
