I rember watching this and waitign for hearns to land the left, left, overhand rigtht, but barkely a tough fighter went into Hagler mode. With a 78inch reach Tommy liked his distance and barkley had the game plan, I would have liked to see Tommy moved off at angles and throw left and right uppercuts. Both great fighters. Barkly has number when Nigel Benn Ko'd him in round 1 , but thats another fight. great post!!

fuckin barkley went on gorilla mode!!!!!!,

think this is hearns' most shocking loss. We all know the great man had a weak chin and his losses to this point were down to his inability to absorb. But he totally outclassed an amazing technician in Wilfred Benitez. He outboxed Sugar twice. Duran, another really skilled artist, couldn't do a thing with Tommy and his skills. Tommy could outbox anyone and hurt them whilst he did it.
But a clogger like Barlkey OUTPOINTING Tommy!!??! Poor from Hearns.

boxing needs more warriors like Barkley..

Duran whipped on Barkley......

the blade never had great skills but he was a monster at times when he was focused..

@lizardman77 I read post and it basically said Hearns and Mark Breland are the most overrated fighters ever. He Basically said Hearns never beat a noteworthy opponents. Then pointed out Hearns's loss as a 17 year old against a 20 year old Aaron Pryor. He dismisses Hearn's victory over Cuevas, Duran, Shuler and Roldan as fighters who were overrated themselves. Said Hearns had one power hand and no defense.

Or Tarver had Jones'.

@lizardman77 exactly, just like Vernon had Shane's
