YouTubers Be Honest: No Fraud, Fakes, Liars

Having only been on YouTube a short time, I have only viewed a relatively small number of videos. This monologue expresses the fact that the entertainment value of videos seems to be primary factor related to popularity. It does not matter how intelligent, honest or good a person one is, unless you can produce an entertaining video, few users of YouTube are going to pay you much attention. The pretty girl rambling about her daily life is going to get more attention than the over weight child prodigy, even though the later is real and the pretty girl's life is a fabrication, or hoax.
Quite frankly defrauding the public on the scale that the producers of Lonlygirl15 allegedly have done should be a crime, or at least prohibited by YouTube's TOS. It is one thing to produce a fictional television show or movie; it is quite another to produce a fictional independent production and dupe everyone into thinking it is real.
As a new user of YouTube I did not see any of the Jessica Rose AKA Lonelygirl15 videos until after the producers came out of the closet and revealed she was a fraud. But had I been a young person I may have been quite hurt and felt betrayed by this clever con, which as all cons, has making fame and fortune as the ultimate goal.
To protest and enable everyone to advocate honesty on YouTube I've created gifts and apparel which feature the No Symbol in bright red on a blue sky background and say "YouTubers Be Honest: No Fakes, Fraud, Liars." These are available in my gallery at http://www.cafepress.com/bytelandart/2388761.
I hope YouTubers will buy T-shirts and wear these when making videos to express the fact that you believe everyone who makes videos should be honest; that fraud should not be permitted on YouTube (acting and role playing yes, but not fake users pretending to be real people).

WTF. Wrong! I wasn't even on YT before lonelygirl15 hoax was exposed. I use YT to promote my art, poetry, songs, etc., period. The trash you and other haters are spouting is a reflection of your own juvenile perversions and moronic nature! I've seen insects with more character than some of the jerks on YT.

Not necessarily. Not every famous youtuber get's funded(at least not by youtube), and some do make good video's. It just depends on who it is.
