This painting of my figure drawing class at IPFW was done in gouache (opaque watercolor) on a 15x20 inch piece of Strathmore illustration board. I used Turner Design Gouache, which I found to be excellent. I began work on the painting on April 14 and finished it on May 5, 2010. The music in the background is a public domain version of Beethoven's 6th Symphony.

  • very nice time lapse. look forward to seeing how you incorporate the airbrush into your future work.

  • @eclipsefy. Thanks. I plan on having a time lapse of my Salma Hayek portrait up sometime soon. As for this project, airbrush would have simplified some things if I'd had the skill at the time.

  • I really liked this Painting. You are so talented, Mike.

  • @couchpotatotheatre. Thanks! I appreciate that so much. Thanks for taking a look.
