The last video I posted was me performing this song in the Aug 2006. I had been playing guitar and singing for about six months. This song was the first song I learned to play all the way through. D, A, and G were all chords I could handle. That tricky C was not part of this song... And I liked it that way.

So this video is me three years later singing this song. Full disclosure... The first song was record on a DELL PC with a QUICKCAM and the built in mic, There was no editing. It was a one take wonder and upload. This video was also a one take wonder. Only I recorded this one with my Macbook. The video was shot with the insight cam, and the audio was recorded with a USB snowball and edited with Garageband. I used iMovie along with iPhoto to edit the video.

I played the song from start to finish. I then added the small guitar backing solo. After that I added some drum with my Cajon (i still can't seem to get percussion right) I then added some harmony. I also added (for the first time ever) a little glockenspiel! I picked it up form Urban Outfitter for 30 bucks. I have no idea how to really play it.

I flubbed a few chords here and there... The solo was kind of simple and the same one one I seem to do a lot... The drums were off... I have no idea if I was even close with the glockenspiel... and my voice was in and out of key the whole time... but after that self deprecation... I will stay.. I have come a good way since that first video.

At the tender 28 I started music. The majority of my friends are ones I met at a local open mic in Kansas City... Or at other events around the city. The photos you see are of those people. Many of them gave me lessons in both music and life. I found that music and life kind of became one in the same... As is the same with Music and Friends.. There is no line.. Music.. Life.. Friends.. I have also found a community of music online at ukuleleundergroud.com.

so take your time... let me know what you think... and subbscribe... i might keep getting better!
