Scenes from Emanuelle Around the World (1977)

Of the vast Black Emanuelle canon, this film is probably the most accomplished and coherent of the lot. It lulls you in, seemingly a fluffy sexploiter, before it morphs halfway into a brutal and unsettling experience. Laura Gemser is as lovely as ever, and turns in a fine performance alongside Ivan Rassimov and Karin Schubert. Joe D'Amato himself makes a cameo appearance.
