Here is the first lecture (part 2) from my visit to St. Herman's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Kodiak, Alaska. This was given as part of a series of presentations at the seminary through their new program: http://addictions.sthermanseminary.org/ . The St. Dimitrie Program in Cluj, Romania, under OCMC Missionary Floyd Frantz is now forming an extension of the program to minister to the Diocese of Alaska. In this lecture, I introduce how the human mind operates and the groundwork for developing addiction.

Those who practice the 12 steps learn much about this, unfortunately they are not all Christian. There is more need for talk like this in western Christian churches.
