Im going to that area this spring.
Do you know if its legal to camp out overnight in that Castle?
Ive heard a lot of old myths about only certain descendants of certain clans can do it.
Not saying I believe in that stuff, but it would be cool to film a night there all a lone.

I;m amazed that the Scottish border clans like the Armstrong's, Scott's, Turnbull's, Johnstone's, etc... could even survive in that area for 1000 years. It looks so unfogiving. No wonder people from Scotland left to go live elsewhere. Thanks for showing the famous Hermitage castle and the surrounds.

It's not a bad area at all, actually. Cold, spooky, sometimes unsafe - aye. But I'd give an arm and leg to live there myself, rather than in Manchester. The real reason there's just 5 million Scots in Scotland and so many more sheep, is the Highland Clearances..
