MAGICAL! I didn't think anything could top "A Quick One" but this does for me.
Just seeing where it all started is pure joy,the innocence of Keith Moon makes it all the more sad.

I WAS ON THE TOP deck of a bus to wembley with my mates in the early sixties and remember everyone shouting " look at that geezer in a gold lame jacket ; it was keith out to the shops!! i also remember him hanging out with us in 1961 at the iron bridge and one tree hill Alperton; great character kenny

In the great book "The Lamberts" (hard to find), it says that Kit originally wanted to make a movie about a Brit-rock group, searched Cockney East and South London for a group, found a Mod club with the most Vespas - hence these guys.

The book says he very soon changed his mind, deciding to manage the group rather than make a film about them. This is a historical film from back in the days when Kit merely wanted to make a movie.
