  • I WAS ON THE TOP  deck of a bus to wembley with my mates in the early sixties and remember everyone shouting " look at that geezer in a gold lame jacket ; it was keith out to the shops!! i also remember him hanging out with us in 1961 at the iron bridge and one tree hill Alperton; great character kenny

  • In the great book "The Lamberts" (hard to find), it says that Kit originally wanted to make a movie about a Brit-rock group, searched Cockney East and South London for a group, found a Mod club with the most Vespas - hence these guys.

    That explains Kit at the beginning snapping a take.

    The book says he very soon changed his mind, deciding to manage the group rather than make a film about them. This is a historical film from back in the days when Kit merely wanted to make a movie.
