Great video. I am trying to get one now. Can u do a follow up on the performance of the Champion? Any issues and how's it doing overall.

The ambi side thumbsafety has a forked pin, and the fork is spread. Maybe somebody messed with it - trying one side while holding the other. The other way this happens is somebody has it in a secure holster, then keeps trying the thumbsafety using the ambi side (nervous about cocked and locked).
You can fix it temporarily by bending the fork back, but it might break. I would just call springfield and have them send a replacement, or get one of the bulletproof ambi replacement kits.
Cool vid!

oh man - I bought one earlier this week and am picking it up tomorrow! Love SA - I bought their LW Champion Operator a couple years ago and it became my favorite 1911. Thanks for the video!

@kimberandkenpo thanks for the video man, good detail and very clear picture with a lot of knowledge. I was deciding between this one or a Kimber Pro CDP 4". And you have really gave me more insight with my long sought out homework on which gun to buy for the price! Thanks alot I will be purchasing this bad boy!

Honest mistake saying Smithnwesson in beginning of video. Yeah I can trash Kimber. I own 2 of them. They look pretty. Just so far not as reliable.
