This is another update on the finches I'm handfeeding. They are doing great! The zebras are feathering in nicely and are just the cutest little things. And the gouldian chick is doing great, too. They are now on a 4 hour schedule from 7 am to 11 pm.

  • I found a bird and I can't find the nest, can I ask what you are feeding them?

  • @jhisk Sorry, I didn't see this comment till now. :( Hope you have found a bird rehabilitator to feed your found baby. Usually they say you are better off to leave any babies you find as the parents will often come back to feed them. If there are cats or other predators around, then you can find a rehabilitator by searching online or by contacting your local fish and game dept. With my finches, I feed them a handfeeding formula - either Nutri-Start or Kellogs.

  • Your handfeeding videos have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. Thank you so much. It's hard to understand how to handfeed by reading handfeeding articles, because no matter how much you read you can not understand what it should look like to feed the babies right. I am handfeeding a newborn society and two larger zebra chicks, and so far things are going well mostly due to your wonderful videos. Thanks!
