Great job, really good version - our accent and tone really adds to it
I guess you know it was originally written by Hughie MacDonald when he was in Redgum
Nice t-shirt as well :-)

Excellent job, The lyrics are reminiscent of so many Irish songs ! I hope your son is keeping well in Oz. Great Country

Mick, thank you. I'm an aussie with an Irish dad who sing this very song, and you do it well. If I may be so bold, I prefer the redgum lyrics, which use "burning light of day" and finish the last verse with "...fences roll forever, and I won't be back when the droving's done" and repeat the modified line "no I won't be back when" in the last chorus - it adds to the melancholy of the song.
Thank you very much
