Driving Jersey

We've been driving Jersey for the last three years, meeting people and collecting stories. Our idea is an old one, but so it's old it seems new somehow, to simply go out with a camera and meet people and let them tell their stories and how they relate to their hometowns and the Garden State. It is truly reality TV, not like the stuff you actually watch on television...because Driving Jersey tells the story of the state through the people we meet by chance.

This is our first short piece. We had been on the road for a year and the natives were getting restless to see our work and frankly, so were we.

So the Driving Jersey team held up in a century old house following a snow storm and spent the good part of 48 hours writing, recording and editing, and the result was this film. It is our first together. And while weve learned much and our work has surely developed, this is still the piece I like the best. It is still dear to me. It is, for Driving Jersey, the engine that could.

Its about being yourself. Its about how experience shapes who we are. Its about revelation and evolution. Its about doing the right thing. Its about acceptance. Its about life and living. And it is all worth pursuing. It is, about Jersey.
