    What happens if you let too much water out?

    Is it possible to get stuck at the Bottom of the lock, or can the water only be emptied so far down?

  • What's the point of the locks? o_ o

  • @LCfoxes The water in the lock will empty until it's level is the same as the the canal. It's not pumped out it just uses gravity. The clever thing is that you can't open the gates until the levels are equal.

  • The British and French canal systems need more Falkirk Wheels to get rid of those horrible locks.
