Very cool, I have one as well, although it's not in use. Nice to see it still in use. Bituminous Coal heat is the cheapest form of heat you'll find, cheaper than geothermal, electric, gas, propane or oil. If you're trying to keep the dust down, rig a fan that vents to the outside and have it's intake hose go to the front of the clinker removal door, you'll eliminate ash dust that way. If you have black dust from the coal itself, spray it with mineral (baby oil) oil. How many tons/yr. do you use?
Cool Video. Iron Fireman was a great unit back in its day.
Love to see it actually working. Do you burn soft coal or hard? Looks like soft from the clinker you're pulling out. You could save a lot too if you insulated the boiler.
the BIG question is :
why don't YOU americans build these things anymore?
I mean, a coal stove WILL save you money...
Do you americans have too much money?
:-)

What happened to the insulation or the jacket that was on the boiler?

If you rig a fan to keep the dust down, now you're sending your savings to the electric co. Thanks for posting
