I don't see how this speech was pretentious at all, going onto youtube videos of newer punk bands and slagging them off doesn't make you punk you twits. The Clash is my favourite band of all time and I love these covers.

"This year is Joe Strummer's 50th birthday" WTF is this guy talking about? This video is from 2009. Joe Strummer turned 50 in 2002, shortly before he died.

they play the opening (and repeating) 2 chord riff differently and, imo, lose some musical power in doing so... the background vox sounded good tho. anyway respect for a clash tribute at the ramones museum.
