PLOT EXPLANATION:
Charlie and Kate are close friends. But when Charlie starts having romantic feelings towards Kate and can't supress them he tries to keep it quiet because he feels no one will understand why he feels this way about his best friend and also thinks that he's no match for Sawyer and Jack. But when the two suspect something they don't intend to make it easy for the poor man to be another 'opponent' to 'Get The Girl'.
Meanwhile Charlie is sick of being the best bud and wants Kate to see him in a different way. It's only when Charlie's life is on the line that kate realises he means much more to her then she first thought. But by this time he's already spending lots of time with Claire.
Can the couple never be together? Or is their relationship impossible or forbiddon due to Jack and Sawyer's threatening glances?

To add - Canon is something confirmed in teh show. It's not an attraction or something. WE have to 'know' that they both like each other, see them make a move etc. Jacket is now canon, since they kissed. Hubby is canon. Chana is not canon. Anyway, I'm sure you all knew that...just felt like elaborating. xD

Lol, canon is something that isn't made-up. It's related to the story line. For example Skate is canon but Chate isn't. Chate is AU (alternate Universe)
