is this the Super Constellation known as "Southern Preservation"? If it is, there's a whole tv episode on it's restoration. I think Discovery Channel. My experience in Constellations goes back to 1958 on board a standard and a Super Constellation of Eastern Airlines...this brings back memories

August 1965, flew in a Connie from Ft. Polk La. to military holding area San Francisco awaiting orders for Hawaii then to Nam. My Connie was hot, rough, and vibrated tremendously. Didn't matter, though. Just happy to be out of basic training.

@Tillerman56 its an illusion :)

@edintruder This particular Connie is based in Albion Park, south of Sydney Australia. It is only rated for flying in airshows and as a static display, sadly she is not passenger rated, unless that's changed in the last few years.

how much 1 hour of fly?

@julianne1969 : Yes, I was extremely lucky to be offered a seat on this short hop (35min) from Sydney to Albion Park (Wollongong) where it is based. Was a fantastic flight, with an added go around at the end :-)
