  • I like what he is saying. I think that people's inherent need to leave a lasting effect on culture and society is the result of an awareness of mortality. People feel the need to establish a difference between themselves and other living creatures. Thus, aesthetic goals are a result of death. Without death people would have no motivation to immediately better themselves.

  • Well, this is just some rocket science explained here. Thanks for the profound insights. Also, morgues are a place where dead bodies go for inspection, not a religious institution.
