adobe audition is a very sexy application. and you know the bbc still uses cool edit? that's how good it is, they still use it even though it's a good 10 years old and there are other newer applications that do the same thing

This tutorial teaches nothing. It doesn't teach WHY a de-sser works, WHAT a de-esser does, HOW to de-ess a track using RDesser....
All it does is show you how to apply a preset. You learn nothing from that.

Actually dont copy, but its like a start & some have to ajust it a little more, each voice, mic & DAW is different so u might tweak it a little, copying presets wont give u best results but its a point to start.

thats the WRONG way to De-Ess Bro.......you need to sweep the frequency range with an EQ until the sSS are jumping out at you...then narrow the Q until you accurately pinpoint the Sibilance. NOW take a compressor place it on an Aux channel...and sidechain the vocal into that Compressor ...NOW place the DeEsser on the vocal track and dial in the EXACT frequency that you discovered using the EQ....NOW ....SAY GOODBYE TO SIBILANCE FOREVER.
-
the thing is...is that you cannot use just any settings and just throw it on the vocal like that.....youll be harming the transients that doesnt hold any sibilant energy and end up deadening the sound...as in this scenario.

bahahaha, worst explanation ever, it deserves an award, just copy everything. dont bother showing what everything does so i can adapt the vst to my situation, just copy then hope for the best :D
fucking hilarious hahaha

bro, how did you get the waves pliugins working, i have vista 32 and they just dont work with audition 3.
-
this is terrible advice, for a start a preset is never the right way. and even if it was it shouldnt be permanently added to the track in edit mode!
is that adobe audition?
