I've lived here my whole life, in the suburbs, that's 32 years. One thing I can tell you is EVERYTHING is expensive. Gas, food, any outdoor or indoor activities you want to do, it's ridiculous.Examples

Snowboarding 50+$

Indoor rock climbing 20+$

Gas today 1.10$

The olympic nightmare tops it all off.

Last week on the news that Vancouver has got the most expensive housing in North America. It must be a nightmare to get around with all the road closures for the Olympics. I wont be going to any events.

there new stupid Eco-Buses don't help matters, they had to spend millions for these buses so they could look good on the world stage during the Olympics, let alone all the wasted money on silly infrastructure for the Olympics, i think a city that had sufficient infrastructure should have got the Olympic games, Vancouver simply didn't have the money or the economy to support such an event, thus i think the Olympic problem will hurt that area for many years, its really sad

Well coming from someone who has lived over 5 years in Vancouver and Calgary, I sure as hell wouldnt want to be stuck forever in calgary, the deerfoot Trl traffic is Retarded theres no parking in downtown ethier and the transit System costs 2.50 with no zones because its Horribly run. Vancouver for 136 bucks a month I can Ride to 5+ cities all I want For a month, The weather, fishing, entertainment, is better as far as rent goes Apartments are cheap in the suburbs, The house prices Suck ass.
