Chic was formed in the late seventies by Nile Rodgers and the late Bernard Edwards. They dominated the disco era with huge hit singles and albums on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition Rodgers worked as a songwriter and producer for the likes of Sister Sledge (We Are Family), Diana Ross (I'm Coming Up), David Bowie (Let's Dance), Madonna (Like A Virgin) and many more.
This amazing preformance shows just why Chic remain so popular. This song is taken from the full length concert DVD "Live at Montruex 2004", available from Eagle Vision now.

More likely it broke and he grabbed a new one. Cymbals and timbale rims chew up sticks bad. What I can't believe is all the 2k monitor feedback. That's not supposed to happen at this level. I'll give Nile and the girls credit; they didn't flinch, even though it had to be killing them. (I'd have hated to be that monitor engineer after the show. I've heard rumors that Axl Rose threw beer bottles at his engineers. If he'd tried that on me, he'd be wearing a mic stand instead of a bandanna).
