Is Mac OS X Lion the End of the Hackintosh?

Hackintosh computers, simply put, are PCs built on non-Apple hardware that run OS X as their primary operating system. Unlike previous versions of OS X, Lion isn't presently available at retail stores. Instead, you have to purchase the OS through the Mac App Store, making it harder to install on non-Apple hardware.

Does this mean OS X Lion has dealt a serious blow to the Hackintosh community? Not even close.

If there's one thing you can always depend on, it's the determination and ingenuity of the hacker community. There are already several tutorials posted around the web with workarounds that enable OS X Lion to run on non-Apple hardware.

Chris is really a cool guy if you follow his channel. But you can tell from this video that he really does not know much about Hackintosh's. tonymacx86 will continue to make OS X work seamlessly on PC's. :)

btw osx86 is perfectly stable, i rendered a 1080p 2hrs video using final cut pro, and had the system running for days without turning off or resetting. There is no need to buy a original mac.

I'm dual booting win7 and osx86 Lion perfect! check my channel. OSX is a good operating system but doesn't compare to windows. Windows will always been my No1.

pentium 4 2.95ghz

1gb ram (400mhz)

80gb sata

runs great
