In addition to the shown primairy chain guard which was introduced together with the new clutch in 1919, the forks have the longer 1919-1920 tubes, the inlet manifold is later than 1917 and the inlet valve mechanism has covertubes also introduced later then 1916.

This is a later then 1916 Model, probably 1919 or 1920. 1916 Models were still grey and had a differently shaped primary chainguard.

Both the chain guard and paint color could be retro fit, any other details that don't fit?
The motorcycle is owned by a Harley dealer in Arkport, NY they might be correct. Contact them on their web site. Thanks for the close look at the video.

Thanks for the comment. Most artifacts in museum's speak for themself, anything I could ad would be just BS. I have a video of an old Indian sidecar motorcycle unrestored at the museum not yet posted. I love what they have done at the Curtiss Museum, they are a great bunch. Search Youtube for "Curtiss Museum" for other videos.
