Charlene Lynette Wittstock (born 25 January 1978, Benoni, South Africa) is a South African Olympic backstroke swimmer and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who rose to fame because she was accompanying Albert II, Prince of Monaco at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics. This fueled speculations that she could be the new girlfriend of the Prince, and a potential future Princess of Monaco. Thus the couple have been romantically linked since February 2006.

I think Charlene is beautiful. I don't think their wedding was sad either. I think the media took the worst shots and built their stories around it. I for one, also cried on my wedding day - I just couldn't stop. I was happy, I guess it was just overwhelming emotions. Albert is a cool dude. He, like everyone else, deserves a chance in being happy. Perhaps their marriage will make it against the odds and I will be happy if it does.

Albert is a monster, you can tell by his mannerisms and his behavior he is not right in the head. Poor girl, she tried to flee from the impending marriage three times, but each time she was blackmailed into this wedding. Whats being said is that he threatened to ruin her family with his connections. Remember, anther factor here is her lack of education - she didnt even graduate high school, so its easy for his entourage to manipulate her. In europe, the rich are always above the law.
