  • You know...I never liked the way Agrippa was portrayed in this show - like some kind of love-sick puppy. In reality the man was an all-round badass and won most of Octavian's battles for him (including the battle against Mark Antony and Cleopatra) -his contributions to Rome were effn' MASSIVE in every area of life possible - this was the great grandfather of Nero, 3 time Consul, Tribune of the Plebs, and, and...::calms down:: ...okay I'm cool now... and he was portrayed like this? boo :(

  • Thumbs up if you would like to see Simon Woods play Caligula.

  • I love how Octavian is so cold, emotionless, and ruthless.

  • Octavian the party pooper

  • hail to augustus!

  • the part where Octavian goes "Silence!" and his mother goes silent....fucking awesome part of the show hahaha. The only better moment from the entire series is when Caesar and his forces cross the Rubicon in front of that kid fishing and Mark Antony winks to him. fuckin epic

  • @Standuble yes, she died the year after Julius Caesar in real life. glad they kept that bitch on the show tho, lol

  • @squamish4244 Yeah the "slap me during intercourse, honey" crap was a little weird, but Octavian was quite ruthless in his thirst for power. He'd cut your throat, unlike Caesar who was considerably more gracious to defeated opponents. was he more reserved in face to face interactions? probably, but it is hard to show both sids of that coin in a historical drama like this

  • @LeviathanoftheDanube Totally agree. Agrippa may be the most underrated historical figure of all time. The guy was immensely talented and was generally responsible for every military victory attributed to Octavius (who was an administrator of genius but a terrible soldier/general). Octivaius would never have been what he became without Agrippa.

  • @1957arm In real life Atia died long before the battle of Actium if I recall.

  • People are complaining about the portrayal of Agrippa, but the portrayal of Octavian is worse because he is a central character who they make out to be a total asshole but who was actually quite moderate in real life. And they also make him a sexual masochist, which was entirely fictionalized.

  • omg this scene is incredible
