Blood Transfusion Procedure Video

Transfuse the blood this way, as shown, we have tried to show every essential steps, where you can prevent any human error.
1. Check label on packet whether you received blood for correct patient.
2. Check out I.V set and insert in blood bag carefully so as to prevent any tear by i.v set.
3. Start transfusing blood slowly, simultaneously monitor patient for temp, heart rate, breathing, Blood pressure.
4. Give advice to attendant-In case of any allergic reaction- stop blood transfusion, you can give injection avil, injection effcorlin to treat any allergic reaction.
5. Sent post BT investigations.
6. Do not cover the blood bag with any cloth etc.
Note: check vital signs and give diuretics if fluid overload is suspected.
