Tel-Aviv University demos quantum superconductors locked in a magnetic field (www.quantumlevitation.com). For an explanation of the physics behind this demonstration, visit www.quantumlevitation.com/levitation/The_physics.html.

With the theme "Knowledge that Works: From Theory to Practice," the 2011 ASTC Annual Conference featured more than 100 sessions, which highlighted how science centers and museums are putting new ideas to practical use to serve their communities. The conference was hosted by the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore, October 15-18.

  • @YTMrVulcan Because this is the same kind of stuff that would allow us to recreate the Wipeout video game franchise in real life. In fact, if you search Youtube, you will find a video showing off the same technology in a model inspired by Wipeout :)

  • @YTMrVulcan Nope. Just a dig at those who cry "Fake" on anything and everything that is either beyond their understanding or contradicts their beliefs and what they hold as true; then, after claiming that it was "Fake" and that he "cheated," I enunciated how he "faked" it, by the use of the very same principles and materials he set out to use for the demonstration of the principles of his asserted conclusion.

It's just a roundy roundy thing... I was just being an ass.

  • @savcam500 Did anyone say anything that contradicts your statement?

  • @BCBtheBeastlyBeast If you're going to ask something like this, then could you also explain how it relates to the video?

  • so cool. literaly

  • @Mrtheunnameable what difference does it make how he moved it, it's just easier to grab the sides isn't it? He still pushed it up a down with his hand regardless.
