We were rained out at Edmund Hall's race but hooked up with the guys that run Dallas County Dragway who were wanted to run as bad as we were, and decided to dry the track in Selma so we could get some much needed testing time. We left montgomery in the rain and after a stop at subway, went straight to Dallas County Dragway. There was a good bit of water on the track - every body grabbed a squeegee and pushed down the left lane. Gene worked his magic with the prep work. We had a chance to make several passes on the motor and make a few suspension tweaks. Pat and Aaron were confident that a few changes they made this week would let it 60ft on spray, so they showed us it would do it. They weren't talking about what times they were running but it looked real good and all of them were smiling coming out of the tower after each pass/ Looks like a little testing time did them well too. Since they were carrying the tires on stock suspension Chuck figured we would see what we could do on the plate. Were not talking times either but I would have never dreamed we would have seen a 1.19 60ft on a track that was covered with water 3 hours ago. We were smiling coming out of the tower, too. When we decided to try both kits the car stumbled, so looks like we going to have to dial the fogger next. It was nice concentrating on testing because we are usually running around half cocked trying to do a grudge race, match race, or running in an index.
