With 39,256 car registrations in May 2009 (compared with 24,987 in May 2008), Opel remains for the fourth month in a row as the second most purchased brand in Germany, according to registration statistics released by the German government. From January to May 2009, the number of newly registered Opel vehicles rose to 149,805. That is an increase of 25,782 from the same period last year when 124,023 new Opel vehicles were registered, for a growth of about 21 percent. Available video includes shots of Opel models.
