the city of Hong Kong is very impressive too, esp Victoria Harbour & the laser light displays over the skyscrapers every evening. It's a very capitalist nation, bullet trains & rich ppl.

@iamzill2 No offense, but I gather from your comment you don't understand macroeconomics. If China has the cash, then why don't they use it? They do have a command economy. How will anyone know if free elections will work or not in China if they're not allowed, hmm? Hoping for China to become responsible was like the Czechs hoping that by giving Sudetenland to the Germans they wouldn't invade.

@14eldoc this will not happen. This is how we humans are. For a man/nation to become powerful and rich, another has to suffer. and humans always want more power. China has already started to annoy countries surrounding. its just a matter of time, when China will start to invade and annoy countries all around the world.

@SubSlaveCD Didn't Adolf Hitler say the same thing about Nazi Germany? Where's Nazi Germany? Didn't Nikita Khruschev say the same thing about the Soviet Union? Where's the Soviet Union? China has the same sovereign debt problems as the rest of the world. They also have growing inflation. What they DON'T have is an outlet (in the form of free elections) for the pent-up hostilities of their people. China's rulers walk a very careful path and they know it. You obviously don't.
