  • It's just a feedback mechanism so that the rower can see his acceleration instantly in the height of the water fountain, and after the catch, to see how quickly he can get the water back up the tube , and on the recovery to see how long he can maintain the height of the water as he moves to the catch. I use it occasionally in conjunction with NK speedcoach and the like, which give splits and metres per second- but the feedback on this is instantaneous with regards boat run and acceleration

  • It's a Sykes single, made in Geelong, Victoria- most of the Aussie team are using them in NZ next week
