  • Great job. There were a few issues with the timing and volume of the music but that could be solved with a little practice. For a first performance that was amazing. Brentwood is just a week away so lets fix those mistakes so we can dominate the competition!!

  • everyone should be practicing at home and i know no one did today, but feel free to take home a flag to practice as long as you remember to bring it in for rehearsals and performances. the work is written out in an inbox to refer to but if you want it emailed to you feel free to ask.

like mr. patterson said, some of the work in the video wasnt together but for the first performance this is amazing. im proud of everyone and i expect great scores for the season.

  • -the end of the opener needs to be worked on a bit. the majority of you know/had the work but it just wasnt together, but thats something that can be fixed with practice.

-in the closer the tempo change had a lot of timing issues, but once again that comes with practice

-the only thing that needed major major review was the last 12 and 16 counts of the closer

those were just the major things i noticed, but there were also a few individual things that only pertained to one or a few people.

  • I know I already put this in the guard inbox but a few of you aren't in there. So these are a few of the major things i noticed:

-a few people are starting the 24 count move in the opener early and are going before the band moves. its really noticeable when you do this because its during a hold and it draws a lot of attention. its a 24 count move and i'm one of the furthest and making it, so if you're running the whole move then you have more than enough time to get there.

  • formations don't look as bad as I expected for a first show. something that did stick out...out of tune. some parts sound pretty good (closer to the end of the first song for example) but if we make sure we tune up before we get on the field we can fix those early tuning issues. also WATCH MICHELLE!!!!! SHES ON THE BIG PODIUM THING WAVING HER ARMS AROUND FOR A REASON!!! ITS NOT JUST FOR EXERCISE!!! but encouraging for a first show. watch michelle get the music down stay in tune and we can win!!

  • Go Bass Drums! ;D

  • Good Job!

    -Cox

  • Honestly, though, watching this video, I was very surprised to see how we looked because I thought the our first show would be disastrous, however we definitely did a great job for our first time. If we work on the few things we did wrong in this show, then I think the dome is for us to take. LET'S GO BULLDOGS! oh, and also, congrats to diana for winging that at the end...sounded beautiful! good job everyone!

  • and also the part where there are solos in different sections. The ice cream truck was good, but we need to get back to our spots on time (there were a few people who moved). The last song definitely sounded the best, but we have to make sure that we don't overblow at all at any point in the show (because we want to sound good and not BLEH). The colorguard was pretty good although has to work to get together a little bit and the pit was overall very good, except for one part in the first song.

  • Just always feel the beat and you'll get used to marching in these shoes. Musically, we played not badly actually. We didn't sound wimpy as Mr. Patterson said after the game, but we didn't sound our best. There were times that we were overblowing (i.e. trumpets) and yet there were also times when there wasn't enough power (i.e. tenor saxes/trombones in the beginning). Also, we have to really watch Michelle in certain parts of the show, such as the beginning section
