Update 1/12/11 ;
Just thought I'd tell you all that the prayers went to good use. Christina is fully normal again, the only evidence of ever even being injured is the scar about 4 inches long down the back of her neck where she had surgery. It was difficult at first, getting used to having her and not Vanessa around seeing as they were always together. But over time we've all just grown closer since the accident and have learned that we have to cherish each other because you never know when someone is going to be taken right off the ground we stand on. On this year memorial we celebrated by ditching votech (lol) well most of us did, some went just because they felt they needed to and others stayed home.. we talked to each other and went through good memories and we got through it. Together.
Today I realized how close we've really gotten.. My 18th birthday bash was tonight and my parents through a huge surprise party, all of my votech friends were there, and just seeing them all together and with me tonight I realized we really are like family to each other. I love them to pieces and wouldn't trade them for the entire universe, they are my best friends in real life I swear.
Update:
Christina has pretty much fully recovered, she only went to one day of rehab and had two surgeries I believe on her neck to fuse the vertebrae. She can start riding again on May 11th which is /such/ a miracle. I just want to truly thank all who prayed for her and wished her well! She's back in votech and working with horses again. Though there's still that missing chair right next to her and me, Vanessa will live on in all of our hearts, especially Christina's.
Vanessa was an amazing person.. She was always smiley and always cheerful.. She was amazing with horses and she loved every single one.. I don't think I ever saw her give up on a new foal, even when they'd bolt and have her skiing on her boots behind them.
Nessa was an amazing friend.. I can't think of one bad time I ever had with her.. not one. Her and her best friend Christina were the nicest girls to ever set foot in the barn.. I believe everything happens for a reason.. but this.. this is just too much.
Vanessa was driving home today ~1/11/10~ and had a horrible car accident.. I don't know many details but Nessa was killed in this tragic wreck... Christina was in the passengers seat.. She is now in the hospital with a broken neck and swelling around her brain.. These girls have left unremovable foot prints in my life..
The last thing Nessa said to me was "Get to work! :D" haha.. she was always joking.. always laughing.. only one time I saw her cry.. and then Christina cried.. and I just remember them wiping each others tears, then redoing each others makeup ;'] they were so close...
I can only pray Christina will make it through this..
as for Nessa.. She will always be in our hearts.. votech will never be the same without her..

I'm not sure if your in England but you should hold a memorial show for her! It would be a brilliant show! We did it for girl called Hannah and it was so lovely!
My thoughts go out to you and Vanessa's family and friends, such a tragic time for you all. It's very sad that just like that someone is gone. She is in a better place now though, probably riding! R.I.P

Im very sorry to hear about your loss, I lost my sister two years ago and I still miss her very much, but the pain does go away little by little, just remember to keep your chin up and just remember all the good times.

this is so sad. :( its insane how people who are so close to you can be taken from you in the snap of the finger and no one saw it coming. it just goes to show no one should ever take a single second of their life for granted because in the same amount of time your life can be taken. my thoughts and prayers go out to you, her friends, and her family. i am sure she is greatly missed. that chair may look empty but i bet you she'll always be there.

oh my goodness...this is terrible :O...i will pray for Vanessa and her family and Christina too. i hope she pulls through this and that the grieving isnt too great to handle. I'm so sorry for your loss. i didn't know Vanessa but I'm sure she was an amazing girl. I'm so sorry :(
