The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Ford Focus and the Chevrolet HHR top scores on front-end crash tests for several 2009 small cars. The Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Matrix and the Suzuki SX4 received top scores in side protection. (Dec. 17)
@arequipa1 All glass shatters. Car glass is "tempered" so it breaks into little squares, instead of shards. Yes, the squares are still sharp, but they are 100-times less sharp than the little square pieces of glass.

The broken glass has rounded edges for the most part. You wouldn't get cut up that badly.

DUDE!!! what's with the shards of glass flying everywhere upon impact? i thought nowadays windows would be shatter-proof so we wouldn't be sprayed with glass fragments! yikes!
